WHY WE CARRY SCULLY
An American leather house, with stories to match.
Scully has been making leather since 1906: flight jackets and helmets for pilots in both World Wars, and the gloves and jackets that outfitted Admiral Byrd's expedition to the Antarctic. A few of those pieces now sit in the Smithsonian.
The family is still at it, four generations in. We went past the classic western styling for the cleaner, contemporary side of the line: jackets and cardigans for her, cord shirts and leather for him, and leather travel goods that get better with age.
- Since 1906 Well into its second century, now in its fourth generation.
- Built for pilots Flight jackets and helmets for WWI and WWII aviators.
- In the Smithsonian Scully pieces are displayed there and at Seattle's Museum of Flight.
- Leather people Jackets, bags, travel and business goods, all from one house.
