THREE GENERATIONS

Same loom. Same hands. Same cotton.

For years the family workshop in Denizli has been weaving premium cotton textiles. For most of that time the work traveled the world under other names, quietly woven into luxury hotels, boutique stores and private homes across Europe and the United States.

VivaMaison is the first time three generations of Denizli weavers are speaking directly to you, with their own brand name, finally.

KNOWLEDGE THAT LIVES IN HANDS

Some things cannot be written down.

Over 2,500 years ago, the artisans of Laodicea, just six kilometers from the workshop today, wove fabrics so fine that ancient Rome paid a premium for them. The looms of this valley have never stopped.

How the loom is threaded, how cotton is chosen by feel, how the water is adjusted for the season: none of it is written down. It lives in the weavers' hands, passed from fathers to sons and from mothers to daughters.

THE COTTON AND THE WEAVE

Hands that know what they are doing.

The cotton is grown in the Aegean valleys: long-staple, sun-grown and spring-watered. Longer fibers make stronger yarn, and stronger yarn makes a fabric that softens with every wash instead of falling apart.

A waffle weave is created in three dimensions. A muslin gauze is built in delicate layers. A peshtemal stripe is woven thread by thread, never printed.

BEYOND THE LOOM

Every towel begins with water. So does their giving.

In the workshop, most of the weavers are women. Every towel woven supports a household in Denizli.

In 2026 VivaMaison began supporting the Bonneville Environmental Foundation, a Portland, Oregon nonprofit that restores freshwater to rivers and wetlands through third-party verified Water Restoration Certificates. It is a fixed annual contribution, not tied to your order.
