2008
Spiritual Gangster began in 2008, when yoga instructors Vanessa Lee and Ian Lopatin made a t-shirt for their studio. The message resonated past the mat, and the tee became a brand — then a community.
The idea underneath it stayed the same: raise your vibration through yoga, movement, music, art and service.
THE GIVING
In 2011, Spiritual Gangster joined Tony Robbins' 100 Million Meals Challenge and began giving to Feeding America. Purchases have since funded more than 16 million meals for people across the country.
Every item in the Grateful Collection ties a donated meal to the sale — the giving is built into the product, not bolted on.
It started as a t-shirt and became a movement.
