THE BRAND

P.J. Salvage

California sleep and lounge since 1995 — the prints, the hand-feel and the lace-trim sets that made fashion pajamas a category.

CALIFORNIA · 1995

A rescue, then a rebuild

P.J. Salvage started in 1995. A couple of years in, Peter Burke took over the financially shaky label because he could see sleepwear turning into fashion.

He rebuilt it around the things that mattered — better fabrics, better prints — and broadened the line to robes, boxers and tanks, taking it nationwide.

THE MAKE

Fabric and print, first

The buttery hand-feel is the signature. So are the prints — seasonal florals, holiday novelty, the occasional collectible drop — which is why the sets move the way they do.

Production runs through certified women-owned factories, with a sustainable-fabric range that keeps expanding.

Sleepwear was becoming fashion — the job was to make it feel and look the part.
